My name is Sarah Roche and I will be the peer mentor for your freshman seminar class The Human Animal with Dr. Dolby. As you enter your freshman year, I will begin my senior year as a biology major and chemistry and neuroscience minor. If this website is underwhelming, that’s because I barely even know how use Word and PowerPoint. Luckily for you all, I’m not the person you’ll come to for tech help. But I am the person who will point you towards people who can help you with all your various web and tech projects, as well as towards any of the resources on campus that you may need access to. I’m the person you can come to with any questions or concerns you have about being a S.T.E.M. major, being a freshman at Mary Washington, college life or just life in general. I have almost completed my time here at UMW, and I have learned about so much more than just the science I study. Hopefully the things I’ve learned will be of some value to you as you navigate your way through your first year, so feel free to reach out to me at any point this summer or during the semester!
